1. About FDSIQ

FDSIQ is a product operated by EngineeredIQ (“we”, “us”). It is a software-as-a-service platform that helps engineers draft, validate and compile Functional Design Specifications and downstream control system artifacts, using structured data entry and artificial intelligence.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or using FDSIQ, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

3. Nature of the Service: AI Drafting and Compilation Tool

FDSIQ is an AI-assisted drafting and compilation tool only. It does not provide engineering advice, certification, compliance assessments or professional opinions. All content generated by FDSIQ must be reviewed, verified and approved by the engineer of record before it is used, distributed or relied upon.

4. Professional Responsibility

The subscriber is the engineer of record for all specifications, tag registers, I/O declarations and sequence code generated using FDSIQ. By downloading or distributing any FDSIQ-generated document, the subscriber:

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EngineeredIQ is not liable for any loss, damage, claim or expense arising from the use or misuse of AI-generated content, including but not limited to errors in standards references, incorrect tag or sequence logic or omissions. EngineeredIQ’s total liability is limited to the fees paid for the Project giving rise to the claim.

You retain ownership of all data you enter into FDSIQ, including project information, specification data, tag registers and generated documents. EngineeredIQ does not sell or share your data with third parties.

8. Acceptable Use

FDSIQ may only be used by qualified engineers or their authorised employees for legitimate business purposes. You must not use FDSIQ to create fraudulent, misleading or non-compliant documents.

9. Data Retention

Projects are retained for 55 days after last access, with a warning at 35 days and again at 45 days. After 55 days of inactivity, the Project is deleted. Download your deliverables during that window.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
