Nature of AI-Assisted Content
Where AI-assisted extraction is used, ScaffIQ uses large language model (LLM) technology to assist in identifying tags, IO points and device types from uploaded documents. ScaffIQ does not use AI to write ladder logic, rung structures or sequence code. That output is deterministically compiled from engineer-confirmed data.
AI-assisted extraction may contain errors, omissions or misidentified tags. It must not be relied upon without review at each of the three checkpoints.
Mandatory Checkpoint Review
Every ScaffIQ-compiled file must pass three engineer sign-offs before it is:
- Downloaded or distributed
- Imported into Studio 5000 or any controller project
- Relied upon for any compliance or safety purpose
- Stored in any official record
No Sequence or Rung Logic Generation
ScaffIQ compiles tag structures, AOI instances and routine placeholders only. It does not generate rung-by-rung ladder logic or sequence logic. That logic is written by the engineer of record, by design, because it carries direct safety and professional liability.
AOI & Tag Mapping
AOI selection and tag-to-address mapping are proposed by ScaffIQ based on parsed document data and cross-reference matching. These proposals are AI-assisted or rule-based suggestions, not verified facts. The issuing engineer must confirm every mapping at Checkpoint 2 before compilation.
Not a Certified Deliverable
No ScaffIQ-compiled file constitutes a certified engineering deliverable, compliance certificate or professional engineering sign-off under any jurisdiction’s law. Only a suitably qualified and registered engineer can issue such certification.

“This file was compiled by ScaffIQ from data confirmed by [Engineer Name], [Professional Registration/Licence No., if applicable] across three sign-off checkpoints. It contains no AI-generated or ScaffIQ-generated sequence or rung logic. All tag structures and AOI instances must be verified against site conditions before deployment. EngineeredIQ accepts no liability for compiled content that has not been reviewed by the issuing engineer.”
